Guide for your Cooling and Heating Systems

 

Use this program to avoid unnecessary service fees and discomfort by fixing your cooling or heating system yourself.

This low cost option allows you to take simple steps that can save you money and time. In addition you have access to a live Service Technician at any point in your trouble shooting efforts.

Guide Access Fee - $19.95
100% of access fee will be credited toward trip charge if needed.
100% of Trip Charge will credited towards any repairs performed on day of service call

Common problems and troubling shooting guide:


1. System not operating at all

Trouble Shooting Steps:

A. First Set Thermostat to desired operating mode

B. If thermostat has batteries replace and repeat step A.
If no batteries are required in thermostat continue to step C.
C. Locate Electrical panel normally found outside the home on the right or left side.
D. Identify the proper breaker for system. Normally original installer has marked HVAC, AC / Heating, air handler, cooling or similar description on the panel box for each breaker.
E. Shut breaker off and wait 30 seconds and turn back on.
F. If breaker immediately trips contact Diamondback Air Mechanical & Solar, Inc. at Phoenix Metro (602)-977-0800 or East Valley (480)-496-4475

G. If breaker does not trip check system operation by listening or feeling for system operation or airflow out of vents.
H. If system operating but still no airflow, follow the trouble shooting steps found in common problems section 3.


2. System blowing air out vents but not providing cooling or heating

A. Determine if system is gas or electric and contact Diamondback Air Mechanical & Solar, Inc. at Phoenix Metro (602)-977-0800 or East Valley (480)-496-4475 for step-by-step instructions.

3. System running but no airflow out of vents

A. Locate return air vent (this grill is larger than the vents that air flow into home comes from) and inspect filter or filters to determine if replacement is required. (Commonly found in hallway ceilings and sometimes on walls. If filter is dirty replace (system can operate for 24 hours without filter) and determine if airflow has been corrected. (Replacement filters can be purchased at most hardware and home supply stores. We recommend a low static pleated filter. All filters should be replaced every 30/60 days at the latest) If not contact

4. System rapidly shutting on and off
